Congratulations to Craig for winning $1,000 after regaling us with his funny job interview tale. We had so many great entries for this competition, thank you to everyone that took the time to send their story in – we laughed and cringed over and over!

I had just moved to a new city and was applying for as many jobs as possible. In order to create an efficient process, I had my standard issue interview outfit stationed for quick and easy access so I could be in and out of interview mode with Swat Team-like efficiency.
Running a bit late one day, I expertly slid into my prepped interview outfit like a superhero heading to an emergency mission and was out the door. Immediately ushered into an executive office on arrival, I took a seat and placed my right foot on my left knee to get comfortable.
Right then, to my horror, I noticed a pair of underpants resting on my elevated shiny black shoe. Brightly coloured and bedraggled, they perched there in full view yelling “LOOK AT ME!” It dawned on me that yesterday’s undies had been left tangled up in my interview pants, and had slowly worked their way down the leg during transit, only to magically appear right at this very moment.
The interviewer somehow hadn’t noticed as I stumbled through the interview, contorting awkwardly in my chair trying to manipulate my undie-laden foot below desk level.
I finally managed to tuck away the offending article just as the interview completed. It didn’t go well and I didn’t get the job. Just lucky the undies didn’t hide longer and reveal themselves on the floor during my post-interview exit.
